Grand Master,

The situation is as I suspected. In spite of our increasingly fervent efforts over the past four months, Padawan Kos has continued to show no signs of any abilities in even the relatively simple fields of Object Levitation and Force Sensory, let alone the more advanced Force talents being studied and mastered by his peers.

He continues to excel in usage of the Force to enhance his physical abilities, manifesting Force Jumps and Force Speed that most Masters can not match. However, even with his creative sword play and well-developed danger sense, these gifts can not make up for his lack of even basic faculty in those Force abilities which form the core tools of a true Jedi Knight.

If we are to truly be followers of the true and traditional path of the Jedi, I feel we can no longer make exceptions in the name of impressive acrobatics and promising sword play. It is unfortunate that one of such promise has yielded such results, but our hopes, no matter how closely we held them, can not justify Padawan Kos’ continued training. Perhaps he could find a place with the Jedi Service Corps?

Force be with you,

Salen Vashtiri

Master,

I hope this message finds you well in your efforts. Even preoccupied as I am with my duties at the Academy, I can not express how grateful the other Masters and I have been to have an experienced hand at the helm of the Jedi Service Corps. The services the Corps provides take a huge burden from the shoulders of the Order.

I heard that a former student of mine, Lar’Kelen Kos, recently graduated into the Corps as a pilot. I hoped I might attend the ceremony, but I fear the recent uptick in our recruiting efforts following the Dathomere incident has kept me hip deep in Academy paperwork. Please pass on my congratulations to Corpsman Kos. I feel he embodies many of the qualities necessary for your new Corps to be a success.

Force be with you,

Salen Vashtiri

This is the third message I have sent you, not including the several holocom messages I have left with your office. I still have yet to receive a concrete answer on the disappearance of Lar’Kelen Kos or Jular Mires.

Kos has been nothing if not absolutely dedicated to the Order and his service through the Corps, and by all accounts Mires is the same. It makes no sense for two loyal Corpsmen to simply vanish. Please get back to me on this issue as soon as possible.

Master,

I hope you will not think me presumptuous for dispatching this message. In my short time as Master of the Academy since Master Vashtiri returned to the Force, I have only barely begun to become used to the vast protocols and procedures involved in taking charge of the position.

Your request for 32 training Sabers will, of course, be granted. I have nothing but respect for the work of the Corps, and I think your initiative in training Corpsmen in Saber maintenance and repair is highly commendable. However, I remain rather curious – why are the requested Sabers all of the single-handed design? Those are, by far, the minority among Knights, as the stability of a dual-wield style is somewhat questionable.

Be Well,
Jori Helena
