Grand Master -

I wanted to discuss my proposal for forming a new branch of the Jedi Service Corps – The First Technical Corps. While it is unorthodox to bypass Master Katarn’s authority in matters of Corps administration, I feel that his focus is too centered on his newly-formed Pilot Corps to give my plan its due consideration. I feel that the Technical Corps is a necessary component of our organization moving forward, as the support and manipulation of computer systems is a vital task normally outside the purvey of the Order.

I am pleased to inform you that your application to the Jedi Service Corps has been accepted. I urge you not to consider this as a lesser option to studying at the Academy, but rather an opportunity to serve the Order in a different but no less important capacity. The Jedi Service Corps fulfills a vital role in the continued function of the Order, one which sometimes does not receive its proper respect in the public eye.

Based on your aptitude tests, you will be assigned to training in the First Technical Corps. I look forward to serving with you.

Corpsmen,

I do not have to tell you how deeply the loss of Master Katarn has affected each and every member of the Jedi Service Corps. In Master Katarn, we had a gifted and faithful leader who was as much a Corpsman as a Master of the Order. None the less, we must move on as an organization.

While we can not ever repay the debt we owe to his leadership, we must be willing to continue developing the scope of our mission in service to the Force. It falls to us to perform the tasks which the Order can not, and as newly-appointed Master of the Corps, I intend to remain faithful to that duty.

Grand Master,

I must protest your decision to once again block the formation of the First Armed Corps. While I am sympathetic to the concerns expressed by the late Master Katarn, I argued then and still argue now that the Armed Corps would not be outside the bounds of the Jedi.

While in recent years we have fallen more into the role of peacekeepers and councilors, the Jedi have at many times in our history functioned as a military organization. Especially in light of recent events such as the increasing rift in the Order and the loss of several of our Knights and two Masters on Dathomere, it is becoming more and more evident that we can not continue to be as restrictive as we have been in how we organize our numbers.

While the Masters and Knights should continue to make up the backbone of the Order, I urge you to reconsider allowing us to train units of Jedi Corpsemen to be foot-soldiers as well as their current support roles. If the Force is to be purified and the Sith defeated, we must be stronger in numbers, and not merely in spirit.

Corpsman –

It has come to our attention that Master Salen Vashtiri has fallen under the influence of agents of the Dark Side. While it is a sad task we must perform, it is none the less or duty to cleanse our ranks of this corruption hat he may rejoin the Force as a pure being rather than continue to hinder the will of the Force here.

Always remember, we hold no malice toward those we must cleanse, we are driven only by the will of the Force. You will find all the tools you require at the designated insertion point. You will be operating alone for this mission – while we have full confidence in your partner’s abilities, we feel that Corpsman Kos is still too inexperienced to handle involvement in this task.
